Gijs van Dijck

Gijs van Dijck is hoogleraar privaatrecht aan Maastricht University. Hij verricht onderzoek op het terrein van het aansprakelijkheidsrecht, insolventierecht en naar methodologische kwesties op het terrein van juridisch onderzoek.

Gijs van Dijck is professor of Private Law at Maastricht University. His research focuses on tort law, bankruptcy law, and methodology of legal research, empirical legal research in particular.

 


Joseph Fleuren

Joseph Fleuren is universitair hoofddocent Algemene rechtswetenschap aan de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen. Hij geeft onderwijs in de vakken Inleiding tot de rechtswetenschap, Academische vaardigheden en Rechtsmethodologie. Zijn onderzoek beweegt zich op het snijvlak van staatsrecht, volkenrecht, rechtsgeschiedenis, rechtsfilosofie en rechtstheorie. Daarnaast is hij rechter-plaatsvervanger in de Rechtbank Gelderland.

Joseph Fleuren is Associate Professor of Jurisprudence at Radboud University Nijmegen. He teaches Introduction to Jurisprudence, Legal Skills and Legal Methodology. His research focuses on intersections between constitutional law, international law, legal history, legal philosophy and legal theory. He is also Deputy Judge of the District Court Gelderland, The Netherlands.

 


Bart van Klink

Bart van Klink is hoogleraar Methoden van technieken van recht en rechtswetenschap bij de afdeling Rechtstheorie en Rechtsgeschiedenis aan de Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Hij is verantwoordelijk voor de vaardighedenlijn in de rechtenopleiding. Hij is geïnteresseerd in methodologische vraagstukken rond de aard van de rechtswetenschap, de relatie met andere wetenschappelijke disciplines, de inrichting van het juridische onderwijs, en juridische argumentatie en interpretatie.

Bart van Klink is Professor of Legal Methodology at the department of Legal Theory and Legal History, Faculty of Law, VU University Amsterdam. He is responsible for the skills training in the legal curriculum. He is interested in methodological issues concerning law as an academic discipline and its relation to other disciplines, legal education, and legal argumentation and interpretation.

Hana van Ooijen

Hana van Ooijen is universitair docent onderwijs bij het departement Rechtsgeleerdheid van de Universiteit Utrecht. Samen met haar collega’s van de Legal Skills Academy richt ze zich op het versterken van het onderwijs in juridische vaardigheden. Daarbij combineert ze haar ervaring in onderzoek, onderwijs en de praktijk. Ze heeft een bijzondere interesse in moot courts (en de vaardigheden daarin) en de verbinding tussen de universiteit en de rechtspraktijk. Door haar uiteenlopende ervaring is Hana vertrouwd met meerdere rechtsgebieden, variërend van (internationaal en nationaal) migratierecht tot internationaal publiekrecht, waarbij haar voorliefde voor een mensenrechtelijke invalshoek een rode draad vormt in haar expertise.

Hana van Ooijen is an assistant professor education at the Utrecht University department of Law. With her colleagues of the Legal Skills Academy she aims at enhancing legal skills education. In so doing, she combines her experience in research, education and legal practice. Ze is especially interested in moot courts (and accessory skills) and the connection between the university and the legal practice. Because of her varied experience, Hana is familiar with several areas of law, ranging from (international and national) migration law to public international law, while her preference for a human rights approach is the recurrent theme in her expertise.

 


Anna Pivaty

Anna Pivaty is universitair docent bij de afdeling Strafrecht en Criminologie en onderzoeker bij het Institutions for Conflict Resolution Programme van de Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid, Radboud Universiteit, Nijmegen. Haar onderzoeksfocus ligt op toegang tot het recht (op het terrein van straf- en bestuursrecht), digitalisering van juridische procedures, en kwalitatieve onderzoeksmethodologieën in rechten. Met betrekking tot onderwijs, ligt haar interesse in het gebruik van digitale technologieën; en het integreren van ervaringsonderwijs en wereldburgerschaponderwijs bij juridische opleidingen.

Anna Pivaty is Assistant Professor at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology and Researcher in the Institutions for Conflict Resolution Programme at the Faculty of Law, Radboud University, Nijmegen. Her research focus is access to criminal and administrative justice, digitalisation of legal procedures, and qualitative research methodologies in law. With regard to teaching, her interests lie in the use of digital technologies in education, and the integration of experiential learning and global citizenship education into law curriculum.

 


Marnix Snel

Marnix Snel is als Wetenschappelijk Hoofddocent privaatrecht verbonden aan de Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid van de University of Curaçao en als research fellow aan Tilburg University. Behalve op privaatrechtelijke kwesties van uiteenlopende aard, richt een groot deel van zijn onderzoek zich op de wijze waarop rechtswetenschappers het (privaat)recht bestuderen. Hij is mede verantwoordelijk geweest voor de introductie van ‘Methoden & Technieken van Onderzoek’-onderwijs in de juridische bacheloropleidingen van Tilburg University en de University of Curaçao, als ook in de premaster fiscaal recht van Nyenrode University.

Marnix Snel is an Associate Professor of Private Law at the Law School of the University of Curaçao and research fellow of the University of Tilburg. Except for matters relating to private law, his research largely focuses on the way in which legal scholars conduct legal research. He has been (co)responsible for the introduction of courses on Methods and Techniques of legal research in the bachelor programs of Tilburg University and the University of Curaçao, as well as in the premaster tax law of Nyenrode University.

 


Sanne Taekema

Sanne Taekema is hoogleraar Inleiding tot de rechtswetenschap en rechtstheorie aan de Erasmus School of Law in Rotterdam. Zij geeft onderwijs in rechtstheorie en methodologie in bachelor, master en in de Graduate School. Haar centrale onderzoeksthema's zijn methodologie van het recht, met name in relatie tot interdisciplinariteit, de rechtsstaat en rechtspluralisme, en rechtstheorie in klassieke zin.

Sanne Taekema is professor of Jurisprudence at Erasmus School of Law, Rotterdam. She teaches legal tehory and methodology in the bachelor and master programmes of ESL and in the Erasmus Graduate School of Law. Her research themes are the rule of law and legal pluralism, legal methods, in particular in relation to interdisciplinary research and general questions of legal theory.

 


Bald de Vries

Bald de Vries is universitair docent bij de Afdeling Staats- en Bestuursrecht en Rechtstheorie (SBR) aan de Faculteit Rechtsgeleerdheid, Universiteit Utrecht. Op het gebied van onderzoek houdt hij zich bezig met vraagstukken rondom duurzaamheid, risico en verantwoordelijkheid vanuit een rechtstheoretisch en sociaal theoretisch perspectief. Voorts zet hij zich in voor de inbedding van onderzoek in onderwijs en experiment met vernieuwende didactische vormen ter versterking van de academische diepgang van het juridisch onderwijs.

Bald de Vries is lecturer at the Department of  Jurisprudence, Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law (JCAL), Utrecht University. In his research his focus, from a legal theoretical and social theoretical perspective, is on questions pertaining to sustainability, risk and responsibility. In addition, he seeks to integrate research into teaching and experiments with new didactical ways to enhance the academic aspect of legal education.
